These locos hark back to an earlier time on the Caley. By the very nature of the prototype this kit is quite complex and, unlike most Caley Coaches kits, is aimed at the more advanced modeller.

Note that these engines ran with a variety of tenders, mostly second hand, of both four wheel and six wheel varieties. For reasons of economics the tender illustrated above will be the only type offered.

Caledonian Railway Coat of Arms

"Wha dare meddle wi' me" - a loose translation of the Scottish motto (nemo me impune lacessit, litterly meaning "no-one provokes me with impunity") which was appropriated along with the Scottish coat of arms (without any sanction from the Lord Lyon, King of Arms) by the Caledonian Railway Co.
