Perhaps the best known of all Caledonian locomotives - the famous Cardean class. Built during 1906, these locomotives took over the top link workings between Glasgow Central and the south earning themselves an enviable if not ultimately justified reputation. Later superheated in 1911 all bar 907 which was destroyed in the Quinitinshill tragedy of 1915 were inherited by the L.M.S. with the last, Cardean itself although long devoid of the name, being withdrawn in 1930.

Class 300 0-6-0 locomotive and tender

Scale drawing of CL8

C.R. numbers 300-324, 294-299, 280, 281, 670-679; L.M.S. numbers 17650-17692

Pickersgill's (the Caledonian's last CME) take on the classic Caley 0-6-0. Introducced in 1918, with a higher set boiler than the Class 812 and 'teardrop' cab windows they were quite distinctive among the various classes of Caley 0-6-0. Most were superheated by the LMS and many lasted into the early 1960s.

7/CC25 7mm Scale 20T Brake Van (as CC25)

I have been asked by a customer to investigate producing the etches of the 6 wheel 20T brake van (CC25) in 7mm scale. This is feasible but I would need a few more expressions of interest before I went ahead. Please e-mail me if you are interested. Price will depend on up-take.

Caledonian Railway Coat of Arms

"Wha dare meddle wi' me" - a loose translation of the Scottish motto (nemo me impune lacessit, litterly meaning "no-one provokes me with impunity") which was appropriated along with the Scottish coat of arms (without any sanction from the Lord Lyon, King of Arms) by the Caledonian Railway Co.
